LA Cr(e)ates: Music x Flowers Art Installation

For this installation we threw it back to the time we reimagined a summer sunset in South Central to pay homage to the music and creators that birthed the West Coast sound and culture we celebrate today. Inspired by an LA Natives’s rite of passage - “riding in the back seat of dad’s lowrider across the city”, we curated a South Central summer in 1984 where lowriders cruised the streets of LA, Uncle Jamm’s Army blasting, and the pulse of West Coast hip-hop was born .

We pay homage to the culture that raised us— the music, the swag, and the stories our parents and peers passed down. it’s more than flowers; it’s a reflection of the legacy that still flows through everything we do.
